On Saturday night, my husband's grandmother passed away. Truly, she has not been with us for some time but the final passing is so final and sad. I am thankful that my dear sweet Coffee-Man made time for a visit to see her just two days before. While he was there, he spoke to her though she did not respond, and he squeezed her hand. She squeezed back. I love that. What a precious final memory for him of the grandmother with whom he spent so much time as a child.
Our youngest daughter holds her memory dear as she shares her great-grandmother's name as her middle name. The photos below were taken of them both during a visit in August of 2004. Also pictured is my husband, her grandson, who leans in close to talk with her. :)
Jacqueline Noel, age 82. You will be missed. Thank you for all the love you shared.
